    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    Under the direction of the Vice-President of Sales, the Regional Sales Manager is responsible for generating sales of Amerex Hand Portable Fire Extinguishers, Wheeled Units, Pre-Engineered Systems, and Large Dry Chem/Foam/CAFS Systems in a defined geographic territory through an established Distribution network. Manage current Amerex Distribution channel and maintain influences with End-Users, OEM's, Fabricators, Architects/Engineers, Food Service Consultants, Risk Insurers, Authorities Having Jurisdiction, and National Accounts. Territory to include MI, IN, OH, KY, WV, Western PA and Western NY state. This position has no direct reports.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    Implement an aggressive call plan on Amerex Distributors, competitive Distribution, End-Users, OEM's, Fabricators, Architects/Engineers, Food Service Consultants, Risk Insurers, Authorities Having Jurisdiction and National Accounts.

    Maintain an effective network of quality distribution that will assure maximum market penetration and attainment of annual forecasted sales.

    Implement all related sales and marketing programs.

    Work with distribution to assure an effective level of sales and product knowledge is attained, to ensure maximum market penetration and the proper application and installation of all associated Amerex equipment.

    Maintain an ongoing program of geographic market analysis of both current Amerex Distribution and competitive Distribution to assure maximum market penetration.

    Submit all administrative reports and communications in complete and timely fashion- i.e., Expense Reports, Call Plans (as required), Quarterly Objectives, and Monthly Report Information.

    Manage the territory within the pre-determined budget parameters.

    Maintain an active role in representing Amerex Corporation in specific industry organizations and influencers such as NAFED, NFPA, and individual State FED Associations within the assigned territory.

    Conduct Amerex product Marketing Presentations and Training Programs as required for Amerex Distribution, End-Users, OEM's, Fabricators, Architects/Engineers, Food Service Consultants, Risk Insurers, Authorities Having Jurisdiction, and National Accounts.

     

    Qualifications

    KEY RESULTS MEASUREMENTS

     

    Attainment of a pre-determined Annual Sales and Margin Objectives within an assigned territory.

    Increase Annual Sales of Amerex Hand Portable Fire Extinguishers, Wheeled Units, Pre-Engineered Systems, and Large Dry Chem/Foam/CAFS Systems.

    Increase pre-determined Margin Expectations within an assigned territory.

                   

    EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

     

    High School Diploma required.

    Proven background in distributor sales for Hand Portable Fire Extinguishers, Wheeled Units, Pre-Engineered Systems, and Large Dry Chem/Foam/CAFS Systems.

    Overnight travel throughout assigned geography up to 75% of the time.

    Must possess excellent communication skills, verbal and technical.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office to include, Outlook, Excel, and Word.

     

    SUMMARY OF WORKING CONDITIONS

     

    This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Must be able to work under stress occasioned by production requirements and personnel.

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

     

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
