Troubleshoot and recommend courses of action to repair, test, adjust, or install industrial equipment, robotics, and controls.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow all processes and procedures associated with the Safety Management Program. Advise management of any deviations from this program.
Troubleshoot and repair electro-hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and mechanically driven industrial machinery.
Maintain, troubleshoot, design, and install industrial control systems.
Possess the ability to navigate, modify, and program robot controllers.
Train robotics operators to perform the daily functions and trouble-shooting of robotic work cells.
Work with mechanical engineers to improve equipment efficiency and reliability.
Write control logic for new and existing equipment for both A-B panel-view and A-B PLC driven equipment.
Install and setup variable frequency drives, instrumentation devices, and temperature controls.
Design, layout, and wire electrical panels.
Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, or other specifications to determine repair or installation procedures.
Determine methods to repair or adjust equipment, machines, controls or defective components used in manufacturing environment.
Maintain equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, or tests.
Inspect components of industrial equipment for accurate assembly and installation or for defects.
Direct work on scheduled preventive maintenance tasks or emergent work, such as breakdowns.
Examine work orders and converse with equipment operators to detect equipment problems and to ascertain whether mechanical or human errors contributed to the problems.
Coordinate efforts of hourly workers involved in installing or maintaining equipment or components.
Consult with operations and maintenance management to resolve problems in system operation or maintenance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Associates degree in a technical field or training in a vocational school preferred.
Technical training and/or a minimum of three years practical experience in robotics.
Ability to understand, troubleshoot, install, and setup PLC, HMI, and Servo systems abroad.
