  • Overview

    The Amerex Pricing Analyst position serves as a critical resource of the Amerex executive team for analysis and reporting of pricing performance for products globally. He/she provides highly complex and comprehensive analysis of data to validate pricing decisions/strategy, and provides pricing recommendations that are in support of managing cost inflation, cultivating price improvements, growing market share and the promotion of strategies that support the company’s financial objectives, while working closely with the Amerex marketing, finance and sales teams.

    Responsibilities

    Prepare reports of findings, illustrating data graphically and translating complex findings into written text.

    Collect and analyze data on customer demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits to identify potential markets and factors affecting product demand.

    Conduct research on consumer opinions and marketing strategies.

    Forecast and track marketing and sales trends, analyzing collected data.

    Gather data on competitors and analyze their prices, sales, and method of marketing and distribution.

    Analyze and recommend price positioning and price changes across multiple dynamic markets.

    Develop, evaluate and implement pricing strategies and models.

    Monitor pricing and respond to reported issues.

    Assist in the budget and forecasting process for pricing related needs.

    Develop tools in Excel to help guide pricing team in setting strategic prices in the market, implement pricing improvement programs and track financial impact.

    Partner with other departments to correctly position product portfolio to achieve revenue and margin requirements.

    Develop key metrics and methodologies to improve sales and profitability.

    Provide regular reports and analysis regarding pricing performance to management.

    Extract insights into and uncover potential pricing issues based on analysis methods such as target price variance, win/loss, customer revenue/profitability, etc.

    Train and proactively communicate pricing policies.

    Other duties as may be assigned.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s Degree.

    Five (5) or more years of relevant work experience.

    Must possess a high degree of personal accountability and ability to initiate and manage projects under minimal supervision.

    Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills.

    Strong analytical and reporting skills required, along with the ability to lead meetings and make presentations. Must possess strong communication skills, verbal and technical.

    Ability to focus on details and work under deadlines.

    Strategic thinker and problem solver.

    Possess a passion for understanding pricing strategies and execution methodologies.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Word and advanced Excel skills.
