Overview

An integral part of the marketing team, the business development specialist will increase awareness of Amerex products to secure their preference in specifications by end users. The position reports to and works with the Marketing Manager to set the strategy for targeting businesses, create sales presentations, and manage the marketing database in the CRM.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage industry research and insights to identify target businesses and end users.
  • Take a lead role in developing messaging for prospective opportunities.
  • Manage the marketing database in the CRM.
  • Set goals for business development growth.
  • Track industry trends and write competitive analysis reports.
  • Attend networking events.
  • Develop and maintain end user relationships.
  • Communicate regularly with key stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date on company practices, products, and pricing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or communications or related field.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to
    clearly express technical and nontechnical concepts.
  • Technical skills with an ability to create reports, manage a CRM, and develop presentations.
  • Excellent organization skills with the ability to set priorities in order to meet key goals.
  • 2-3 years of experience in sales, marketing, customer relationship or related.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications/Criteria:

  • Experience in fire protection or manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
