Overview

The Product Specialist is responsible for coordinating sales related support in regard to AMEREX Pre-Engineered Vehicle Fire Suppression and Gas Detection Systems.

Responsibilities

This role includes but is not limited to:

  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding products and services
  • Ensure that information regarding customer requests and/or complaints is provided accurately and efficiently
  • Key technical contact for customers
  • Make decisions and judgments on customer issues
  • Work with shipping department/warehouses to insure on time deliveries
  • Schedule and participate in product inspections/training as required by customers
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and the engineering department
  • Work with marketing to communicate changes or new products and distribute to customers
  • Assist in the creation of literature and sales brochures including specification sheets
  • Coordination and scheduling of field rework campaigns as needed
  • Occasional Travel
  • Meet weekly with planning and manufacturing to confirm production and delivery schedules
  • On time preparation of various weekly, quarterly, and annual (internal) reports
  • Other Duties as Required

 

Qualifications

  • College Degree or equivalent experience in sales or customer facing roles
  • Customer Centric attitude - ability to deliver great customer service externally and internally with customers from diverse worldwide background
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work both independently and as a team member
  • Must have ability to maintain a calm demeanor when dealing with potentially upset customers
  • Ability to solve technical problems
  • Ability to gain comprehensive knowledge of Amerex products and services to advise and assist customers
  • Self-motivated
  • Detail oriented personality
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service and/or technical experience
  • Experience in multitasking and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to read and understand engineering prints/drawings
  • Good conflict resolution and a willingness to tackle any customer opportunity
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, Word, and Power Point
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics AX business system a plus
