Overview

The Account Receivable Specialist will manage all financial, clerical, and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate payment of accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates with clients to better understand financial needs and report that information to the Credit Manager.
  • Manages basic office administrative tasks including filing, printing, reporting, and emailing.
  • Records and processes all financial and accounting practices, including profit and loss reports
  • Works closely with accounting or financial professional to manage client’s records
  • Maintains bookkeeping and office accounting needs
  • Collects payments, initiates collection efforts, and updating accounts payable and receivable records
  • Schedules client appointments and managing important department deadlines
  • Performs account reconciliations
  • Researches and resolves payment discrepancies
  • Generates age analysis and reviews AR aging to ensure compliance
  • Maintains AR customer files and records
  • Follows established procedures for processing receipts, cash, etc.
  • Processes credit card payments, adjustments, and prepare bank deposits
  • Investigates and resolves customer queries
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Customer service skills

 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 

  • 3-5 years accounts receivable and general accounting experience a must
  • Effective professional business communication skills, including active listening, speaking, writing, and emailing.
  • Great customer service, interpersonal, collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Project management abilities, including multitasking, prioritization, and deadline management
  • Ability to maintain information management, financial reporting, and other department documentation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Good math skills
  • Keen attention to detail
