Responsibilities

Under the general direction from the Human Resource Director, the Human Resource Generalist role will be responsible for implementing HR policies and procedures, recruiting, addressing employee issues, assisting in the development of company training programs, and maintaining HR related monthly reporting. The HR Generalist will work closely with the facility managers in the areas of recruiting, training and development, employee relations and performance management. This position requires an extremely detail orientated person, ensuring all employment practices comply with Federal, State, and local regulations.

 

What You'll Do: 

  • Confer with HR Director to develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
  • Address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee/supervisor concerns, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the HR Director.
  • Provide HR Director with information related to training, performance appraisals, counseling techniques, or documentation of performance issues.
  • Maintain and update human resources documents, such as organizational charts, employee handbooks, performance evaluation forms etc.
  • Conduct exit interviews and ensure that necessary employment termination paperwork is completed.
  • Analyze employment-related data and prepare and disseminate monthly required reports to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning people-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.
  • Participate in the development of the Human Resources Scorecard, maintaining the data and reporting monthly to the HR Director.
  • Develop or administer special projects in areas such as pay equity company-wide training, employee awards.
  • Participate in the completion of the EEO-1 and Affirmative Action Plan.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), FLSA, and FMLA .
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field of study.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a Human Resources environment.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining data for labor metrics.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Working experience in a multi-cultural manufacturing environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to respond quickly to changing priorities and meet deadlines as required.
  • Proficiency in a variety of computer software packages, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, and Microsoft Office and UltiPro payroll administration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Multi-task oriented with an attention to details.
  • Working knowledge of iCIMS and UKG (UltiPro) Core/Payroll HRIS experience preferred.
